Last Week!

I love this. I love every second of this. I love missionary work. I love being able to wear our Savior's name on my chest. I love talking to people. I love teaching people. I love studying the scriptures. I love questions. I love feeling the spirit everyday. I love seeing other people changed by the spirit. I love helping them begin a testimony.

I love the missionary schedule. I love how much purpose I have found on my mission. I love every single one of my areas. Right now, I love so so so so much this dear Singapore 2nd Ward. I love these youth. I love them all. I love seeing and helping them become missionaries. I love trying to impart 2 years of knowledge on them in a few short weeks so they won't have to make the same mistakes I made as a young missionary.

I love seeing people enter the waters of baptism. I love enduring to the end. I love the happiness that the gospel brings. I love my weaknesses that God may make me humble. And oh He humbles me.

I love Chinese. I love China. I love Malaysia. I love Singapore. I love speaking Chinese. I never want to speak English. And I never do :)

I love training missionaries. I love helping members. I love the members. I love these members. They sacrifice so much. Their faith is unbelievable.

But most importantly I love my Savior. I love Him. I can feel him. I don't know how to describe it. But I love him. And I love how he is always there. And He will make me more of myself than I could ever make of myself.

I am so sad to leave everything I have loved and worked and sweat and fought for here in Malaysia and Singapore for the past two years but it is time for a new phase of life.

I love this.

Week #104....One more week to go! Leaving it all out on the table!

2 years goes by fast. I think sooner than not I am going to be in the grave. Better cherish every moment you got.

This week was amazing like usual.

We went to Marina Bay Sands on Monday! Singapore is amazing! (see pictures!)

We are going to be having baptisms for the next 3 weeks straight! We are way excited for this area! It is amazing! I love China so much. I love Chinese. I love it all. The members are so amazing.

In our ward we are doing a mission prep class. I am getting to train 5 future missionaries which is amazing. They are going to be the greatest 5 missionaries ever.

I gave them 3 challenges in order to graduate. You all are free to try this as well.
1. Get one person's phone number who is interested in learning more about the gospel.
2. Invite someone to be baptized in a lesson with missionaries.
3. Plan out a part of a day with the missionaries and then go and do your plan!

It has been so much fun to work with them!

I love this so much! Have a blessed day!

and a blessed day! Mom and Dad! See you in a week! :)

week #103...I love this.

I only have two weeks left.

I love this so much. I love being a missionary. I love representing the person I love. My Savior and Redeemer.

These next two weeks are going to be crazy. Our area is exploding right now. We had 10 investigators at church last week. And taught a lot of member present lessons.

I literally feel like I am serving in China. And that is obviously against the law but we spend a lot of time in Chinatown. We do language study there and literally it feels like I serve in China. This is probably one of the most unique areas in the world. I feel so blessed. I am able to serve in a ward from China and yet not be in China because that is against the law. This area is unbelievable. The members are unbelievable.

Recent converts are the best. Thank you for all the gifts that I have been getting lately :) (see picture below)

We have a state champion runner in our house. He is giving us some sweet running workouts in the morning :)

Miracles are real. That is all I can say. Some things I just cannot deny. And that is that miracles are real.

I gave a 20 minute talk this week in Chinese in Sacrament meeting. It felt way smooth. Never could have done that at the beginning of my mission.

Also this week started a mission prep class. We have some awesome youth in our ward. Teaching them how to talk to people :) it is awesome.

Love you all

Week #102...Happiness is a choice.

I had that realization this week. People always say that but really it is that way. No matter what we are going to have good days and bad days. But we can always choose to be happy.

Why not choose?:)

We had a baptism this week. her name is 罗琳琪,or Luo Lin Qi.

She is from China and awesome. That is the first person from China that I have been a part of baptizing! Super awesome. People from China have the best chinese there is, along with people from Taiwan.

I am in love with Chinese and the culture. The language is amazing. I feel like in this area I have really began to understand loving the people. Even though you know you will only be in an area for so long you can't help but fall in love with the members. They are amazing.

Shout out to Gabe and Dad for sending me some new workouts this week. That was awesome. Really useful. If you have any more feel free to send them over :)

I wish you all could feel the spirit of a mission. It is hard to describe it over an email. But it is amazing. Mom and Dad when you come in 3 weeks I hope I can help you feel some of that.

That is definitely what I am going to miss the most. Being able to represent the Savior to all.

Love you all,

This week will you show you love for God by inviting them to learn the gospel? I promise you won't regret it :)

Week #101...Missionary Work at its simplest.

We are having a baptism this week! She is from China and awesome! First person from China that I have worked with successfully. Awesome :)

Her name is Cathy!

If you want to know what I have learned about how to do missionary work on my mission it boils down to the following:

1. Finding. Talk to everyone. Ask Everyone for referrals. Work the Part member and less active families.

2. Planning. Every hour of the day have a plan. Never go contacting. Rather just talk to everyone on the way. Always be thinking ahead 2-3 days and thinking about the people you are going to teach and who is going to accompany the lessons.

3. Lastly, Teaching. Teach everyone all the time. On the street in their houses. And teach to what each person needs. Don't force them to learn things they don't see as important. Find out what they are curious about. Then help them see how that relates to the gospel. Teach People not lessons.

If you can master these 3 things, I promise you will be a successful missionary. It takes serious effort though and is not the easiest thing ever.

I love Chinese. I love this language. I love my mission. I love each minute. These people are amazing. I love repentance. I love my Savior. I love it all. I love both my Fathers. And all my Mothers.

Thank you.

God bless and have a fantastic week. Make it count. :) or give your time to me and I will :) i love this place too much. i need time :)

Love,

Week #100....5 more weeks in Singapore 2nd Ward :)

This morning got to skype with them family. That was awesome :) I am so excited to see you soon!

But there are still several weeks left for me to help God in his work here in Singapore. And wow is the field white already to harvest.

Transfers were today and I will be spending the rest of my mission in the Singapore 2nd ward. Excited about it :) This is a dream area I love it.

Today We are going to play the youth in the ward basketball. They challenged me to a 5 on 2. i told them it would be too easy but rather that 1 on 5 would be more fair.

ball is life :)

i love missionary work. I can't believe my mission is going by this fast. I am going to take every minute to its fullest.

I love this work.

Jesus is the Christ.

Week #99....The best kind of life.

I love being a missionary. I realize that more and more every day that I am out here. I am starting to realize how much I am going to miss it.

There is nothing better than being able to represent the Savior to the members, less-actives and the people on the street. I love saying that.

I have really felt the spirit this week. He really does guide us in our work..

I love the Chinese language. It really is difficult but I love learning it. I love speaking it. I love living in it.

This ward that I am in right now is amazing. I wish you all could be here to feel that with me.

It is an actual full working speaking chinese ward. So different from all the branches I worked in throughout my mission in Malaysia.

I don't even know what to tell you about this week. We are finding investigators. They are so awesome.

We have 3 progressing towards baptism in a couple weeks here! :)

My mind is blank but my heart is full.

我爱耶稣的福音。我爱传教施工。

Week #98....I love missionary work. 我爱神的施工。

I love missionary work. I have become literally infatuated with helping people here. It is all I think about and dream about. I can't take my mind off of these people.

I love speaking chinese. I love teaching people the gospel. It is the hardest yet the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. I love all of our investigators they are so awesome. The area is exploding. 2nd ward is feeling the fire. The members don't know what has hit them :) i love it.

Ate lots of chinese food that was ridiculously spicy this week. I love it. I love Chinese people.

Looks like we are going to have 4 baptisms on May 21st so that is exciting!

and then some more in June when Mom and Dad come! :) best gift i could try and offer!

Working out hard and taking protein as usual. Getting ready for the ring of 2016. NCAA tourney here we come!

I testify this is the work of the Lord. I feel lost in it this week. Literally lost. I love that so much.

When you lose your life you gain it. I didn't know it was possible to be this happy.

Missionary work is the hardest work ever but oh so worth it :)

i love you all.

我知道我们现在是在做神的施工. 我知道耶稣基督是我们的救赎主。他一直保护我们。 我爱祂。

我也爱你们。保重。

Week #97....中国 :)

Unbelievable..

I love speaking Chinese so much.

We have some of the best investigators ever. We put another person on date for June 18th. So Mom and Dad you will get to see my last baptism :) Way excited for that!

This week I got back into the 100 pushups, 100 pullups, 100 Situps routine. Going to work back into under 12 min or so.

Probably going to go really really hard for the last transfer starting in a few weeks. So if anyone has any workouts that they think would be good send it over :)

Conference is the best. Watch it.

“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed.  The fact is that most putts don’t drop; most beef is tough; most children grow up to be just people; most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration; most jobs are more often dull than otherwise.  Life is like an old-time rail journey…delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed.  The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.”

-Gordon B. Hinckley

Love you all.

There is no limit. The atonement heals all.

Week #96... CHINA!!

我爱中国! 真的! 他们都需要耶稣的福音!

我希望我可以去中国传教!

现在我们有很多中国来的慕道友!让我很开心!

YES YOU GUESSED IT!

I love CHINA!! we have some awesome new investigators from China and a few of them want to baptized! We also have a nice couple from Singapore that wants to be baptized! The field is all white ready to harvest! I testify of it!

Elder Bringhurst and I are doing great! He is coming along so fast!

I also had a baptism in Canada this week! (see the picture below)
The less active I brought back in the 3rd ward (Phillipino Ward) went to Canada and baptized his wife! how cool is that ?

:) baptisms across the nations! I love missionary work! Nothing gives me more happiness!

Our house is working out like crazy! I love it! Really getting into the groove of being a normal missionary again :) i love it.

Conference is the best. I learned that I need to be humble. I realized that no matter how many Chinese people I find that only the prepared ones are found by God. I see it happen everytime. He leads them right to us when He wants to. His time. His work. This is for Him. I love Him. He lives!

Week #95...I love CHINA.

Now i am serving the chinese 2nd ward in singapore. with my new companion Elder Bringhurst. IT is his first week in the mission field. He already learned chinese for 3 years so his chinese is already amazing.

he is from Albany New york. he goes to BYU studying Law

and he loves sports. Perfect. This is my second time training and i am excited :)

We only have one goal these next two transfers. Baptism at least one person from China. That is all i want in life. And will pray for it day after day and fast for it week after week.

I love China chinese so much. So so so so so much. It is so beautiful. Sometimes it makes me want to cry it is so beautiful.

We have already seen many miracles from praying for Chinese people and wow God is preparing the way. We already had many investigators at church and are ready to get this area pumping. The whole island of Singapore to myself. Oh,wow. What an opportunity.

Prayer is real.

The restoration is so real. Just read the new testament and tell me it is not. 1400 years of darkness.

i testify this is the restored church. AMen .

i testify that China is all white and ready to harvest.
